Who we are

After meeting and marrying in 2015, Larry and I both knew we had been called to do as Isaiah commands.  In 2016, we set off to Costa Rica to provide help to the widows, orphans and homeless there.  Meeting up and working with a church in San Jose was an amazing opportunity to get involved in many projects (See photos below).  We were honored to be able to be a part of many different people, projects, communities and share the love of Jesus from 2016-2018.

After returning to the states to get revived, spend time with family and raise funds, we were led to our next adventure in Nicaragua. (2019-2020)  We were thrilled to be asked to be a part of so many people's lives there.

Our 4 years spend in Nicaragua were very rewarding with being able to serve with a church in Nueva Vida, Pastor Berman who welcomed us and allowed us so many ways to serve on his property.

We started a Christian school called Hopes Heart Christian Academy where we had 7 adults volunteer to teach English classes to over 100 students.

We were also happy to be able to serve in a feeding ministry called “From MOO to YOU”...which gave kids milk and bread to begin their day off right before heading off to school.

In 2023, After a lot of prayers, we knew that after 8 years in Central America, God was calling us home to a new adventure. Although it was bitter sweet to come back for good, we listened.

In 2024, We ended up back in Jacksonville, Florida where we are mostly from. We began to pray for Gods will on our lives. We really didnt undertand why we were back in the states and a bit lonely and lost.

After about 6-7 months of visiting churches all over Jacksonville, we ended up at a tiny church over in the Riverside area. We never could have envisioned what God was up to.

We just kept going, kept learning about the community and the opportunities and saying “use me Lord”. Wow did he in such a huge way.

After just a little over a year of being at “THE WELL” church and seeking his will in all we do, we are not settled and completely comfortable with all our new friends and those we call family.

We were also guided by God to become a HUGE part of Trinity Rescue Mission downtown of which I cannot say enough about. The programs they offer there for these people are amazing. We have been able to build so many amazing relationships with the people there and cannot wait to see what God does in the future.

Just this year, after much prayer, waiting, and asking for direction, God allowed us to be able to bring our ministry back to a new life. We have been blessed beyond belief with a company who provides us with all the food we now need to bring and feed our homeless friends 2 Saturday's a month, with nutritious meals. Also we are now accepting donations of winter attire for our homeless friends whom we see almost every day.

We have been able to create Blessing Bags with all types of hygiene items thanks to our amazing Bible study groups and all the people who have been so faithful on Next door. We are blessed beyond belief to see the mercy, grace and favor that we are not receiving from God.

There's always a need, no matter how big or how small you may think. In Jacksonville, Florida it's huge. Wont you take time to see how you can be a vessel of light or a Light of the World to the least of these. We still have many needs, as were still in the baby stages of our new year. If your heart is willing and you are able, seek God and ask him how you can be a part of Dry bones Come Alive this year. I think you will be blessed and I know we will be blessed having you.
